Comprehensive Annual Financial Report

A Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting is presented by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada to government units and public employee retirement systems whose comprehensive annual financial reports (CAFRs) achieve the highest standards in government accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. The award is valid for a period of one year only. The City of Georgetown has received this award for 20 consecutive years.
